Welcome to the Mika’s Doll Project!
Right now you might be asking yourself, “Why do I have this doll and what am I supposed to do with it?” You have received the doll because you have a friend who thought you would enjoy being part of this project.
This doll represents not only Mika, but thousands of hungry kids in the Dominican Republic. Mika’s Lunch Doll Project is designed to help us feed more children and also to introduce more people to our cause. The need is great and real - there are still children starving. We have so many schools and children, that we have to say “no” to many due to lack of funds.
This page is where you will register your name and address so we know where the doll is located (we only share city and state publicly) . You can also return to this page to see updates about the project, where the doll is currently and how many times she has been forwarded to a new friend. You may want to bookmark this page as it can’t be found on our website.
PLEASE WATCH THIS VIDEO IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN IT YET AS IT WILL GIVE YOU SOME HISTORY ON MIKA’S LUNCH AND OUR CURRENT MISSION.
In order for this to work, the “Mika” doll needs to keep moving from person to person. Please help us out by keeping her for no longer than 1 or 2 days. With your help, we hope she travels all over the country making thousands of stops along the way.
BEING INVOLVED IS EASY - HERE IS WHAT TO DO:
If you are comfortable with and want to support the work that is being done by Mika’s Lunch, please consider a donation. Any amount is fine! We love to have recurring donations because we feed the kids day after day, year after year. Donations can be made online or checks can be mailed to: Mika’s Lunch, P.O. Box 1315 Holland, MI 49422
Add your name to the attached journal and make any comments for future recipients to read. Anything is fine! Maybe something like, “this is so cool” or “this really tugged at my heart”.
Please also register your name on this web page as that is the only way Mika’s Lunch as an organization knows where the doll is. Your information will be kept private and will not be used outside of the Mika’s Lunch organization.

They are just getting started in early November, 2020. One is starting in Holland, MI and the other one in Zeeland, MI.
About the dolls:
Currently there are just two. We purchased them through an organization called Gift of Hope Haiti. Founded in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Gift of Hope is changing lives through stable income, discipleship, education, and the investment of relationships. Together with their founding nonprofit organization, Haiti Foundation Against Poverty, they employ over 70 Haitians and pay a living wage that is at least three times the minimum wage. They also partner with local artisans to support Haitian entrepreneurs. The goal to raise families out of poverty is a holistic effort to educate and empower the entire family system.
