OPPORTUNITIES

Mika’s Lunch offers many partnership opportunities for churches. Some of the possibilities include:

Become a Prayer Partner - Pray for us and with us as we feed children in the Dominican Republic
Children’s Ministry Special Offering - Encourage the children who attend your children’s programs bring a weekly offering until you reach $166, which feeds one child for an entire year.
Special Offering - Schedule a special offering on a specific Sunday(s) for the benefit of Mika’s Lunch
Sponsor a Classroom in the DR - most classrooms have approximately 25 children, so $ 4,150 per year, or $346/month feeds an entire classroom!
Sponsor an Entire School - We have several schools of all sizes, already identified, that desperately need a lunch program. We will work with you to choose a school that is a good match for your church.
Mission Trips - Join a mission trip that we are already planning, or with our help, organize a trip that is fully made up from your members. Meet the kids, tour the schools, see the kitchens and try our lunches! These trips can include working on projects for the schools, or they can be learning trips only. Either way the goal is to form lasting partnerships between you, the schools, the kids, and us at Mika’s Lunch.

Each lunch costs. $ .70 cents
The cost to sponsor one child for a full year (school year + summer) is $166
This breaks down to only $14/month per child!
Mika’s Lunch is currently feeding (as of 2023) approximately 1,500 school aged children per day, 5 days a week, plus younger children, vulnerable moms, the elderly, and teachers and staff. With the help of our generous partners and donors, we are thrilled to be serving over 300,000 meals per year!
